About the event
In this concert, she focuses on the pieces written by Persian composers. From the Other Land is a piece written by Setareh Shafii, a close friend of Niloofar who lives in Germany. This piece is about the distance between these two, who were classmates for years, and right now, they are apart like so many other musicians and Iranians in the world. Jordan Buchholtz will accompany Niloofar for this piece, a DMA graduate from U of M.
